Mill retrofitting with construction of a new concrete silo

Expansion measures at animal feed mills always require the mill control system to be adapted: new control cabinets, additional frequency converters, software updates. With the assistance of BHS Control Systems, Weissachmühle, a mill operator in Allgäu, Germany, quickly and easily implemented these extensive measures following the installation of a hammer mill.

From three to five – New packaging lines for Scheller Mühle

BHS Control Systems assisted traditional company Scheller Mühle, located in Reisgang in Upper Bavaria, in expanding its packaging lines in 2019. Scheller, known for its blue “Mehlzauber” packaging, operates a mill in Reisgang near Pfaffenhofen an der Ilm. The company uses two milling systems to offer an extensive range of different, high-quality flour and semolina types in both the conventional and certified organic varieties. BHS Control Systems has been working with Scheller on its control technology for ten years.

New building of the Antersdorf mill opened

"Technology instead of chemicals" - true to this motto, the Antersdorfer Mühle relies on traditional milling craftsmanship paired with high technology. On 27 April 2023, Europe's most modern organic mill officially opened its new building in the Waltersdorf industrial estate in the town of Simbach am Inn. BHS Control Systems designed and implemented the complete control technology for the new building.

At its in-house test center in Sonthofen, BHS Control Systems has commissioned the first plant whose control system is powered by the latest version of SIMATIC WinCC Open Architecture V3.17 from Siemens. Thanks to the new functions, the software offers enhanced security features and modern data archiving. BHS Control Systems will continue to provide full support for all existing versions.

BHS-Sonthofen acquires control technology provider Thoma

The newly founded BHS Control Systems GmbH & Co. KG acquired Thoma Elektrosteuerungsanlagen GmbH from Babenhausen, Germany, as part of an asset purchase agreement on 1 January 2020. This allowed the BHS-Sonthofen Group to significantly expand its expertise in the area of control technology. Alongside Thoma’s existing business fields, BHS Control Systems is taking on the tasks of planning and implementing plant control systems for projects undertaken by the BHS Group.
